Kmetrics provides services to help schools make sense of educational assessment data and to use data effectively for curriculum planning and to improve student outcomes.
We specialize in helping teachers make sense of test results and use feedback to improve student outcomes.
We offer schools a range of services to enhance their use of VCE and NAPLAN data:
- presentations on using the NAPLAN Data Service or the VCE Data Service
- individual school and classroom Diagnostic Reports of results in all subjects and domains
- workshops on using school and classroom reports to improve teaching.
Presentations and workshops can be tailored to individual school needs, for senior- or whole– staff groups, covering a range of areas including:
- understanding the results
- diagnostic analysis of class room performance
- making appropriate interpretations from the results
- using results for performance monitoring and improvement
- identifying students’ strengths and weaknesses
- using data to inform decision making.
Diagnostic reports bring together all of the elements required for an analysis of student performance at a meaningful level, including:
- identifying which test items show unexpected success rates
- identifying the skills and knowledge associated with the items
- looking for common misconceptions or errors
- identifying which students are making particular errors
Teachers can use the classroom reports to reflect on curriculum coverage, effective teaching practices and for future planning.
